About The Farm at Awbury Arboretum

The sixteen acres of Awbury Arboretum northwest of Washington Lane make up The Farm at Awbury (previous known as the Agricultural Village), a shared farm space for a variety of local partners. From gardening to goat walks, Harvest Festivals, workshops and classes at the Education Center, co-op farming, and much more, there’s always something new to discover in this educational and community-focused area.

Visitors are welcome from dawn to dusk; the space is free and open to the public. Please be mindful of the vegetable and flower beds, beehives, and animal enclosures, and follow any posted signage. There is plenty to see and learn in this unique area of the Arboretum!

An absolute hidden gem! My toddler and I had a magical experience on a Sunday summer afternoon! Beautiful nature based play areas with trails, and Goats, chickens, fruits,veggies, butterflies, bats! It has it all! Check it out for sure!

Absolutely loved the Happy Hour with Goats event. Staff were very friendly and goats were, well, very friendly too! There were plenty of goats and we could pet them all we want. They also did a quick goat yoga which was awesome. I’d come back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great FREE & EDUCATIONAL spot for kids!! We love visiting the farm, especially for the goats, chickens, and kid’s play area. It’s a small farm so manageable to walk around with a toddler or baby in carrier. Trails are stroller friendly with good wheels. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch the Philly Goat Project goats out for a walk and get to pet them. There are also community gardens here where you can tend to your own garden, a great opportunity for those who may not have the space otherwise. They offer a lot of free community events throughout the year, including family fun Sundays!

For a $20 donation you can drop off your Christmas trees and give the goats food. The Christmas trees donated go towards feeding the goats for an entire year! Free hot cocoa, marshmallow toasting and goat petting are some of the perks. There is also an opportunity to buy some goat swag too. Try the hand lotion for a nice treat. Venmo accepted which was fantastic! You and the little ones will have a nice time and get out for some fresh air.

Great spot for the kids. We took our toddler here for a walk and its just the right size for young children. Sseing the chickens and goats are a nice treat.
